Botanical description
Vijaysar is commonly known as the Malabar Kino tree. It can reach heights of up to 10-15 metres. The trunk of the tree has a smoky appearance with vertical slits. It produces red gum as a byproduct. The leaves of the tree have wavy edges. The tree produces yellowish flowers, and its legumes contain two seeds each.
