Botanical description
It is a much-branched, evergreen shrub that reaches about 6 feet in height. The dark green leaves are ovate, measuring up to 6 inches in length and half as wide. The flowers are white and arranged in dense racemes, with individual flowers reaching up to ½ inch in diameter. The fruits resemble small cockleburs, with soft spines covered in adhesive substance that allows them to stick to surfaces.
