Patharchatta is also known as Pashanbheda in Sanskrit, where "Pashan" denotes stone and "bheda" denotes breaking. Patharchatta is therefore helpful for urinary diseases such as kidney stones. The leaves of Kalanchoe pinnata are astringent, antiseptic, and reduce bacterial infection.
