Botanical description

Parijatha is a large shrub or small tree found all over India. The flowers are fragrant, with a white corolla and an orange centre. The fruit is a flat, brown, heart-shaped to round capsule. The flowers appear immediately after the rainy season, and the fruition occurs in the spring.
